hi young people!!!
And if we talk about building for the future ... ?
Every time they talk seriously about young people, very often comes the idea of the future, tomorrow... ... .
If there is a beginning for everything, a beginning for even life on the earth, youth is largely considered as the beginning of the person's life, the morning of the day, the beginning of a great adventure, the commencement of a journey, the foundation of a construction or edifice.
Did you know that while you are living your simple life now, however it may be like, you are building your future for tomorrow?
What you put in your life today as a young person is a material in the building of your future life. It is like concrete which is used for the foundation of a high building; its quality must be accurate.
In the same way, what you learn, what you read, what you hear, music you listen to, friends you share with, and the social environment you evolve in will shape your character and affect your adult life for sure. That is why a choice must be wisely made about the life you live today if you want to reap a better quality of life tomorrow.
While you, young person, are in the morning phase of your life, choose what is good and profitable for building your future.
But how to know what is good to choose for tomorrow?
The Bible says: " Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning." (Ja. 1:17).
You have advantages to living in a godly way being young; we call that building on the rock, for tests will come in your adulthood.
I have in mind the parable of Jesus about the two builders:
"Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, said Jesus, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall." (Mat.7:24-27).
The rain, floods, and winds can be seen as a kind of test and request that you will be submitted to during adulthood.
To face them successfully, you must be well prepared now being young. We read from the Word: "Blessed is the man (or woman) who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, not sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the Law of the Lord (the Bible), and in His Law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruits in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper." (Ps. 1: 1-3).
The Bible says:" Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain those who build it." (Ps.127:1).
You start to build your tomorrow's life today as you start to build your future home.
Do not be foolish. Invite God in your life since your youth; let your actions, your lifestyle, and your standards be in God's likeness. Choose friends who can build you up and help you grow, not scorn you and destroy you.
Be positive. Do not make room for negativism. Do not let your anger be for too long; do not make place for bitterness in your heart. Do not give in to vengeance, even against those who hurt you. Do not stay long in your pain; all that can ruin your life. Learn to forgive.
"Come to Me, says Jesus, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." (Matt. 11:28-30).
"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." (Eph. 4: 31,32).
God is able to help you make good choices being young, to shape your character, to be well-equipped, and to enjoy a wonderful adult life.
Commit yourself to Jesus, the Author of life; start reading the Bible seriously. You will discover the plan of God for your future and you will capitalize in all areas of your life.
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." (Jer. 29:11).
Be wise, walk with God in your youth; acknowledge that wisdom has its beginning in the fear of the Lord. (Pr.15:33).
Do good while it is still time, and remember, whatever you do or are today will shape your personality and have its influence on your tomorrow.
If you want to put your life in the hand of God who knows better than anyone what your future should be, and who guarantees you a bright tomorrow, Repeat after me:
Dear Lord God, I do not know about tomorrow, and I am not sure of my future. I put my life in Your hand; change me. Jesus, Son of God, You died on the cross to save me from eternal death. Forgive my sins, cleanse me by Your blood. Take my heart, my mind, my soul; take my all. I surrender my life to You; be my Savior for ever. Give me a new future.
In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
