What About Prayer?
Let’s always think about “Prayer”; we mean expressing to God our gratitude, our thanksgiving, praise, worship, addressing to Him our supplications, requests, intercessions for others …
Prayer is important.
Prayer is very important in our life as children of God as well as the Word of God; in fact both walk together. (1Tim.4:5). Yes, we need prayer; that is why we are commanded by God to pray always: “Pray without ceasing” (1Thes.5:17). ; and Jesus in Luke 18:1 warns us to always pray … .
Prayer is powerful.
Elijah prayed and unlocked the heaven so that rain could come back after three years of dryness because he commanded that it should not rain for that specific period of time (1 King 18:41-45; Ja.5:17,18). The Bible says in Acts 4:31: "While they were praying the place shook…"; in Acts 12:5 we see: Peter was in jail, and while the church stood in prayer for him, the Angel of the Lord invaded the place and marvelously released him from prison.
Prayer requests Faith.
Jesus says in Matt.21:22: "Whatever you ask, believing, in prayer … " ; Mc.11:24: "Whatever you ask in prayer believe that you have it …" ; in Ja.5: 15 the Word of God says: "The prayer of faith shall save ...";
Prayer requests agreement.
(Matt. 18:19) Jesus says: “… if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in Heaven”.
Prayer is necessary for all (1 Tim.2:1,2)
for those in authority position
for a good quality of life, here on earth
for the healing of the sick. (Ja. 5:14).
Prayer changes destiny of nations:
"If my people, says the Lord, which are called by my Name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my Face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land". (2 Chr.7:14).
Now, you and I, we daily face very challenging situations for which we should fervently pray; but instead, we give ourselves to complaining; we become defeated and not victorious. We are called to overcome as children of God. Let’s give prayer its privilege in our life from today. The Bible says: In everything, let your requests be made known to God by prayer… (Phil.4:6); pray for all the saints … (Eph.6:18,19), pray one for another; pray for us.
Thank you! God bless you.
